The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. Make tissue paper poppies to wear as pins in honor of our military and the sacrifices they have made. We'll also read the poem "In Flanders Fields" which inspired the tradition. Supplies are available for you to make several pins for friends and family.
