The Ispica Caves, hand-carved out of the canyon, were inhabited from 2000 BC through the 20th Century in the Hyblean Mountains. Tour this paradise of rock, sun and Mediterranean vegetation as you descend the canyon to the ancient village along the Pernamazzoni River. Along the way, keep your eyes open for clues to how the inhabitants lived, and stop at a rustic farmhouse where a light lunch of local cheeses, wine and other specialities await. End the tour with a stop by the sea where the river ends along the beach of Santa Maria del Focallo. Please bring water, snacks, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and sunglasses.
